Costa Brava

The essence of the Mediterranean
Beaches and crystalline waters combine with the traces of countless civilisations and together make a unique region. Architectural remains merge with enchanting little coastal towns made of white fisherman’s houses. This singularly beautiful coast starts in the South in the town of Blanes, five kilometres from the Hotel Florida Park and ends in the North at Cadaqués, on the border with France.
Drives
We suggest following a route through the towns and places of interest you would like to see, and bear in mind that the region has back roads that follow a wandering path. The best thing is to divide the Costa Brava into three sections and choose a main town to reach each section from the motorway from the Hotel. Once you’ve reached your main town, you can drive between the other towns in short 10- or 15-minute trips. We have some routes:
- Costa Brava – Southern section: start in Blanes, 10 minutes’ drive from Hotel Florida Park. Places of interest: Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Playa de Aro, Palamós, Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc.
- Costa Brava – central section: start in Begur, 50 minutes’ drive from Hotel Florida Park. Places of interest: Begur, L’Escala, L’Estartit y Islas Medas, Aiguablava, Pals and Tamariu.
- Costa Brava – North section: start in Figueres, 60 minutes’ drive from Hotel Florida Park. Places of interest: Lanza, Puerto de la Selva, Cadaqués, Empuriabrava and Roses.

Sailing routes
A fun alternative is to travel along the Costa Brava by sea. On the beach at Santa Susanna, just three minutes from the Hotel Florida Park, you can find a pier where boats leave regularly to various destinations. Timetables change depending on the time of year.

If you are travelling in the Costa Brava as a family, you can find lots of activities for young and not so young children to have an unforgettable day. Here are some:
